The High Court last week sentenced to life in prison, the founder and CEO of Club Secret Corner, Francis Yata populally know as Baboya.

He was among the sixteen individuals convicted of playing a role in the loss of more than 14 million US dollars from the Office of the President. In May, the High Court issued a guilty verdict for the 16 .

Baboya who was an employee at Ministry of Finance was accused of charges related to forging the signature of President Kiir and other high ranking government officials including army chief of staff Paul Malong. This led to the loss of over $14 million in the name of the president. The men also allegedly used the signature to steal 30 million South Sudanese pounds, with the help of 14 officials from the Central Bank and ministry of finance.

Club Secret Corner located in Rock City is the fastest growing club in Juba. It was opened early last year.
