The Canadian government yesterday said it was sanctioning Michael Makuei, GEN Paul Malong Awan and LTGEN Malek Reuben Riak.
The Canadian government said the individuals “have personally profited from acts of significant corruption”.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is yet to respond in an official capacity. An official sorted for comment told the National Courier, “Canada is like a buzzing flying on a hot day, you do not pay attention to it. You move on with your duties.”
