Kenya have been announced as the host of the 2017 CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup, with the tournament scheduled to take place in November.

Football Kenya Federation president Nick Mwendwa confirmed the hosting of the tournament, which will be held at the Afraha Stadium in Nakuru and Mbaraki Sports Club in Mombasa since all the other major venues will be undergoing renovation ahead of CHAN 2018.

South Sudan will be looking to follow-up their impressive performance from the 2015 CECAFA Cup, where they finished at the top of their group after defeating Djibouti and Malawi.

In addition, the 2017 CECAFA Women’s Challenge is due to be hosted by Rwanda in November.
