The South Sudanese Aussie winger has been recognised for his stunning performance.
He became the first South Sudanese to crack FIFA 19’s Team of the Week, Awer Mabil has now joined big names after an incredible recent showing for Midtjylland.
The Socceroos winger scored twice and added a further two assists in a 5-0 win on Sunday to earn his place among the reserves for the ninth FIFA 19 Team of the Week.
Mabil joins the likes of David Silva, Edinson Cavani and Marco Reus in this week’s star-studded edition.
As a result of being named in the side, the 23-year-old gets a special version of himself in the game that boasts an improved overall rating of 76 along with bumped up stats like 93-rated pace and 80-rated dribbling.
A strong chance of playing for the Socceroos on Saturday against Korea Republic, Mabil scored on his Socceroos debut last month to continue what’s been a stellar few months for the former Adelaide United attacker.
He has scored four goals and picked up eight assists across just 12 league games for Midtjylland making him a potential answer to Australia’s goal-scoring woes.
