The office of President has finally announced the creation of social media platform to feed the public with updates of President Kiir’s activities.

Unlike many East African Presidents who have verified social media pages where even sometimes they interact with citizens through posts, President Kiir has never had one.

Citizens have relied on individuals working in Kiir’s office to get updates and happenings in the highest office of the land.

South Sudanese have always complained why in this digital age, the president doesn’t have social media pages as social media is a very crucial tool of communication between politicians and their supporters.

The genuine concerns of South Sudanese have finally been answered following creation of ‘Presidential Press Unit‘ by the office Ateny Wek, the president’s spokesperson.

“We have now created the official page for Presidential Press Unit for official statements,” Ateny announced on Facebook this morning.

The president’s office however still has no existing website.
