The national football player Ajak Bona who was shot in Kenya’s capital Nairobi in December is recovering well. The player recently made a statement Facebook thanking those who prayed for him during the time he got shot.

“I would like to give thanks to every single one of you that took your precious time to check up on me, through phone calls, text, through Facebook and importantly the ones that came to the hospital, you know who you are. I am slowly recovery now, God is great,” the player said in a Facebook statement.

It is however unclear if the player will join the national football team training camp ahead of their next AFCON qualification match against Benin in March.

The Bright Stars will start training for the match early February according to country’s football governing official.
