South Sudanese’s top fashion designer, Winnie Godi has been nominated for the 2017 edition of Swahili Fashion Week.
Commonly known as Winnie G and for her clothing line with a stunning blend of Junubi touch, Winnie has been nominated in East African Designer of the year category.
The award recognizes designer in the region who have played a major role in promoting the fashion industry.
Having represented South Sudan at varies runways across the continent, this nomination did not come as a surprise for the seasoned writer and photographer.
