Land mine company G4s and the UN Mine Action Service – UNMAS, are racing against time to destroy a fifty-kilogram bomb found in an area between Magateen and Hai referendum in Juba.

The rusty, old cylinder like object measuring almost one meter long was discovered on Monday by a soldier, who requested UNMAS to remove the explosive hazard.

The deminers will defuse the bomb between 5:30 and 6:30pm today and is advising the public to remain calm in case of any loud explosion.

The bomb is capable of destroying an area of three hundred to four hundred square meters.
