A 14-month-old baby miraculously survived a plane crush when a Russian-built Antonov-12 cargo plane crashed yesterday shortly after takeoff from the Juba International Airport, killing over 30 people. The baby is currently at Juba Teaching Hospital undergoing treatment for a fractured leg.

He was one of only two survivors pulled from the crash, but the other one reportedly died at the Hospital.

The plane was heading to Paloich on Wednesday when it crashed carrying unknown number of passengers according to an official who spoke to the media. The official says that the SPLA has been assisting the Emergency Workers from Ministry of Health and NGO workers to recover bodies.

He said all the passengers and the crew have died except for one child and a man who have been rushed to Juba Teaching Hospital, where he died. He revealed that over 30 bodies have been recovered so far and more bodies are expected to be recovered.
