Trump appoints new ambassador to South Sudan

US President, Donald Trump has named “Thomas J. Hushek, of Wisconsin, a career Member of the Senior Foreign Service, Class of Minister-Counse
lor, to be Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to the Republic of South Sudan.”
The nomination was forwarded to the Congress via Department of State this morning and has been referred to US Senate’s Committee on Foreign Relation according to information from US Congress.
Once confirmed Mr Thomas will replace Ambassador Molly Phee.
