The emeritus bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Torit tells Christians to stop laziness but work hard to overcome the ongoing suffering in the country.

Bishop Paride Taban discourages playing of Dominoes in times of work which he believes a major cause of poverty to many South Sudanese, Anisa Radio reports.

Paride tells Christians to value the blessings God has given to them like a fertile land which is good for agricultural activities to sustain families.

He says, citizens would not be waiting for imported food when they engage in agriculture.

Taban urges Christians to put more efforts in planting more trees for next generations benefit.

He advices Christians to take agriculture as the instrument that can end their suffering.
