Police IG tells organised forces to stop harassing people going to banks

South Sudan Police

The inspector general of South Sudan Police has directed organized forces to respect civilians carrying their own money to the banks and market areas.

The directive follows a public outcry against ruthless people posing as security and extorting money from civilians under the guise of hunting down illegal money changers.

Speaking on Radio Miraya’s Crime Watch program, Police Spokesperson, Brigadier Gen. Daniel Justin, advised civilians to report any form of intimidation to the Police.
