Police hangs himself in Torit over ‘suffering’

Police authorities in Torit State confirm that their personnel in the operation department hanged himself to death on Monday in Hai Ifwanyak residential area Torit town.

Radio Emmanuel quoted Major Justine Kileopas Takuru, Police Chief Inspector for Torit Central Division, saying James Okuye Omiyang hanged himself to death at around 6:00 AM.

He clarifies that investigation is still underway to find the cause of his suicide but his colleagues alleges that the man hanged himself because things have gone ‘nut.’

Major Kleopas appreciates the efforts of police commissioner for improve security in the state.

He says the establishment of police stations in residential areas has help combat criminal activities in Torit town.

Major Kileopus calls for continuous cooperation between police forces and the local population.

On the 26th of last month, a soldier in the wounded hero department of South Sudan People Defence Force hanged himself to death in Inkas resident area due to family problems.
