Netflix uses South Sudan flag as terrorist flag in new movie

A new Netflix movie, Close has sparked outrage on social media days two after it release.

The movies uses a South Sudan flag as a terrorist flag in the movie, Something S.Sudanese didn’t take lightly.

In what has been described as a shameless plug for the movie, many South Sudanese came out to voice their disgust over Netflick use of South Sudan flag as a terrorist flag in the movie..

“Dear Netflix, It’s with a great sense of disappointment to raise this matter with you. In ‘Close’-a movie released 2 days ago, #southsudan’s flag is used in as a terrorist flag. This is a mischaracterization of a sovereign state and we ask you to remove it and make a statement,” wrote Jurkuch, a South Sudanese on twitter.
