China to build roads in South Sudan in exchange of crude oil

China will start building roads linking Nadapal on Kenyan border to Wau via Torit, Juba & Rumbek in exchange for crude oil.

President Kiir while speaking at St. Theresa Cathedral in Juba on Sunday, announced that the government of South Sudan has struck a deal with Chinese companies that will see improvement of road networks in the country

“I met with Pres Xi Jinping of China & we agreed that the road linking Nadapal on Kenya border to Wau via Torit, Juba & Rumbek soon will be constructed by Chinese in exchange of crude oil,” President Kiir said.

Kiir was in China last week where he met and discussed various issues related to bilateral relation and trade with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
